Pictures & Summary of the Summersizzle Fashion Show at Antone's, June 4th, 2009

A Sell-out Crowd!

Ryan-Nicole would like to thank all those who came out and supported the models and the designers at the GAT5 Summersizzle Fashion Show at Antone's on June 4th, 2009. The night was a great success and a fun time for all. The line-up featured a lot of talented local Austin fashion designers and vintage boutiques. There was live screen-printing from Twin Villain, various art installations from local Austin artists, sno-cones from Frosty Slims, free U.V. Vodka drinks and a sell-out crowd in attendance.

Summary of Ryan-Nicole Vintage Runway Show

Ryan-Nicole Vintage was the second to last runway show of the evening and featured 10 of our favorite Austin models. Each of our models strutted her stuff down the runway to music by DJ Prep Mode, and dozens of local photographers flashing away. The sexy and creative outfits were assembled by our favorite fashion stylist Lance Blakely and our founder, model Ryan-Nicole. The beautiful hair styles were done by another of our local favorites, Frenchy's Salon.

Our first model was Amanda, wearing an adorable pink sailor suit with matching vest and a 1970's Napier necklace, with vintage blue and gold bracelet. Second came Anna, in a Lanz original polka-dot dress and wearing Trifari vintage necklace, with a bright red clutch on her arm.

Next up was Channon, who looked stunning in a unique vintage palm tree jumpsuit with a transparent hot pink belt and a matching red, Asian-style conical hat, or coolie hat. Makeup artist Lacey Austin masterfully captured the attitude of this outfit with some fierce colors that tied the ensemble together.

Following Channon was Jayla, who wore another polka-dot summer dress as a skirt, with a 1960's sheer blouse under a blue, homemade vintage vest. Sheer is all the rage this year, and Jayla looked smoking hot in this trendy get-up, which was capped-off with a vintage rhinestone chain.

Perhaps the boldest look of the night followed with model Chloe Warnock, who came strutting out from behind the curtain wearing a sunny, yellow summer dress and marched to the end of the runway where she ripped open the buttons to reveal a smoking hot vintage triangle bikini beneath. Her outfit also featured some stylish yellow hoop earrings and a colorful, hand-made paper Asian parasol.

After Chloe, Jessica came sauntering out in a vibrant yellow top with a knitted purple summer vest and big 80's purple earrings, along with a vintage yellow, rectangle necklace. Milli followed dressed in a green squiggle shirt with a versatile, vintage, black skirt and two vintage necklaces - one a dream weaver necklace, and the other a willma necklace.

Natalie wore a rare Herman Marcus studio dress with a grey-colored, plaid vest, a yellow "I Heart Jesus" tie, 80's red hot earrings, and a multi-colored beaded necklace. Clara came out in an elegant blue satin day dress with a gorgeous gold, vintage elephant-shaped pendant necklace.

Emma finished out the show wearing purple iridescent shorts and an 80's multi-colored shirt that the crowd went wild for. Immediately after the fashion show, the all-girl band Tribella played a strong power pop set to cap off an excellent show all-around.

Ryan-Nicole Vintage would like to specifically thank GAT5 for helping organize the evening and Antone's music club for hosting the event. We would also like to thank Courtney Pierce and Chad Harlan, aka La Pistola, for taking some great photos of the evening. We will be posting more on our website, facebook and myspace pages shortly. Stay-tuned for our next fashion show, coming soon!
